WELCOME TO BOTHAG BHUIRGH

At Bothag Bhuirgh our aim to fill a gap in the services being offered at present to cyclists and other visitors to the Westside and Ness area who are travelling on the Hebridean Way.

 

We are situated in the village of Borve on the West side Lewis, which is half way between Barvas and Ness, and our campsite is a family run business.

We welcome pets and allow dogs to be walked down our croft to the sea shore. This is only  10 minute walk and there are no animals of the croft. Once out of the croft area, dogs must remain on a lead.

 

We have two camping pods on site that sleep up to four people in each one.  The amenity pod has two separate rooms, each with a toilet, shower and wash hand basin.

An area of our barn has also been converted to provide a seating and cooking area for all visitors. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and heated airers in the barn. Day visitors are welcome to drop in and dry off. Tea, coffee and milk portions are provided. Any day visitors are welcome to use the shower and toilet facilities. Bed linen, toiletries and towels are provided.

The minimum stay for the family pod is two nights and for the grande max it is three nights. Check in is usually no earlier than 4pm and we are happy for you to check in up to 9pm. We can be flexible, depending on individual circumstances. Check out is usually 11am, but again we can be flexible, depending if we have other guests arriving on that day. We would ask that bookings are made via AIRBNB.

We also have a large croft area for camping and this is at a cost of £10 per person for adults and £5 for children. It is a minimum one night stay.  For that price all campers are welcome to use the shower and toilet facilities as well as the facilities in the barn. Toiletries are included in the price and towels are available at an extra cost.

Please note we are closed for camping as from Saturday 10th September 2023 until 1st April 2024.

GRANDE MAX CAMPING POD

Accommodates up to 4 people.

1 double bed, 1 queen size sofa bed suitable for two young children or one adult.

Self-contained kitchen , shower-room and toilet. All linen, towels and toiletries provided.

FAMILY
CAMPING POD

Accommodates up to 4 people.

1 small double/queen size bed, 1 single bed with a further single pull-out bed. 

Access to amenity pod and the barn. All linen, towels and toiletries provided.

THE BARN & AMENITY POD

The Barn has a full self-catering kitchen, dining space,

a washing machine, tumble drier and heated airers. There is also an iron, an ironing board and travel cot in the barn

The Amenity pod has 2 separate shower and toilet compartments.

CROFT CAMPING

The 'Croft Camping' can accommodate up to 8 people at a cost of £10 per person. The campers will also have access to the facilities available at The Barn and the Amenity Pod.

Toiletries provided, but towels are an extra charge. You cannot book the camping via AIRBNB. It must be by phone or e-mail.
